The Taiwan Tower is an integral part of Taichung Gateway Park. The design of the tower symbolizes a crossing point in the city grid, incorporating renewable energies and other environmental strategies with an elegant form. Its position on the site allows the sun’s exposure on the east and west façade to maximize daylight and views in a cylindrical form that is both beautiful and functional.

Taiwan’s new landmark will serve not only as a visual marker, but also as a major hub for ecological activity. The proposal will remediate a brown field area and establish a new urban ‘green belt’ that will serve as a major hub for ecological activity. Along with other Gateway attractions, the Tower will encourage local, regional, and international visitors, and will showcase the region’s commitment to environmental design.
