The NAGA entry for the UAE entry for the use of a public space at the London Olympic Games harnesses the breezes of the Gulf and the wind of the desert and freezes them in a seemingly weightless eruption of concentric loops, soaring 15 meters above the public plaza.

This piece of urban sculpture serves as the gathering space for visitors and residents to the London Games and a place of both energy and contemplation for all. So dramatic is the form of The Vertical Loop that it dominates the square even though it takes up only a fraction of the available pedestrian space. At night, carefully crafted lighting introduces a dance of light, shadow and color into the already breathtaking form. Truly a space to remember.
